 PREDAPPIO:
He was born in Dovia, near the small town of Predappio,
in Forli County the 29th of July 1883, a town that
became an important stop for all those that whish
to visit the places connect with some of the most
important moments of his entire life. The first
stop is at the CASA MUSSOLINI and the at the Varano
Palace where is family lived. Predappio architectural
style recall the style of the fascist system of
government that differs from the Predappio Alto
which at the contrary maintain his medieval origin
with its medieval hill town the his fortified castle.
Here you can find CA’ DE SANZVES (home of
the sangiovese) where the organization for the protection
of Romagna Wines opened a winery were to taste some
great wine. In the nearby there is ROCCA DELLE CAMINATE,
a castle totally transformed when it was donated
to the Duce in 1929. a must is the visit at the
SAN CASSIANO monumental cemetery, made after Mussolini’s
order where his actually buried and which is visited
by many tourists every year.
RICCIONE:
He is bound to the town of Riccione, not only because
he gave it its autonomy from Rimini but also because
he chose it as his favorite residence for his sea
holidays.Here he built VILLA MUSSOLINI (which has
been recently been restored and has become a representative)
where he used to receive important personality of
the political world, showmen, relatives and friends.
From this period are famous the swimming and sailing
races. In these years LA Perla Verde was the most
important and in the latest fashion touristic area
and numerous villas on the same style of the Duce’s
were built up to the foreshore.
MONTEGRIDOLFO: Many remembering
of the fascist period are collected in the Museum
of the Gothic line of MONTEGRIDOLFO, at the foot
of the castle, from war relics (weapons, instruments,
military object) to propaganda printings (leaflets,
journals, posters) most of them were part of private
collection and are therefore in a perfect state
